Couve Couture 2021

Model: Riley Anne Harrison

Well, tomorrow would have been our rescheduled date for our show. It’s been a season of so many unknowns for everybody. We would have never thought that COVID-19 would cancel every event, big and small.

Fingers crossed we will start planning for an April 2021 show this winter. Hopefully by January we will have hope of normalcy in our lives.

Until then, we truly wish you health, safety, happiness and fashion outside of sweatpants and yoga pants!

Cheers!!!

Hello all! Hope you are surviving this new ‘normal’ due to the Coronavirus. We have postponed our April 18th show. This is a tough time for so many as each day is filled with unknowns.
GOOD NEWS is we have set a new date! September 26th for our Matinee and Evening show and September 27th for our Fashion Marketplace. Thankful that The Fort Vancouver Historic Trust was able to find us a new date at the Artillery Barracks and Red Cross Building.
As a designer/creator I find myself always wishing for another hour, day, week, month, year….. now I and all our incredible designers get that chance to perfect their collection to create their best yet! Many of our designers are excited to either modify their collection for ‘FALL’ and/or create a new collection just for the season.
MORE GOOD NEWS…. you will get to shows back to back and not have to wait a year! Our current plan is to have the September show followed by an April 2021 show!

As always we are so thankful to our Fashion Show and Marketplace sponsors; Fort Vancouver Historic Trust, Waste Connections, Wild Fern, Sew Op + Makerspace, Source Climbing Gym, SEVEN Haircare, Pacifica Beauty, Beigeblond Salon and Most Everything Vintage.

We will post updates this summer with hopes of TICKETS GOING ON SALE SEPTEMBER 1st. Until then, keep your chin high, your thoughts positive and BE WELL!

Cheers!
Alisa and Brett

FASHION MARKETPLACE, 11am – 3pm at The Red Cross Building. FREE!
This event was a great success last year and we are excited to bring it back again. We have partnered up with Night Market Vancouver to bring you a marketplace filled with locally made fashion apparel and accessories. Food and Drink will be available for purchase. Meet our Couve Couture designers and potentially purchase items that walked down the runway!
To make this event even better we have teamed up with Waste Connections and Evergreen Public Schools / Cascadia Tech Center to put on a youth fashion show at 1pm. We will be auditioning Fashion Program students prior to the show and choose our top ten. The the public will then have a chance to vote for their favorite(s) giving us our top eight to walk their mini collection down the runway at the Fashion Marketplace. One ‘look’ for each designer must be an up-cycled creation. Waste Connections will vote for their top two who will receive a $250 scholarship to our new downtown Vancouver sewing school, Sew Op and Makerspace, opening March 2020.

Couve Couture is a non-profit organization. We have partnered again with Share of Vancouver where a portion of show proceeds will be donated. Share of Vancouver is an incredible organization that helps the hungry and homeless within our community.

We hope you will invite a friend, plan a date and attend out two-day event!

Thankful for an incredible show!

Wow! What a great 2019 Couve Couture Fashion Show. Knowing the limitations we have had on space we tried some new ideas. We are thrilled that they worked and are excited to take the Historic Fort Vancouver Artillery Barracks space and maximize it for April 18, 2020! We have some great ideas and look forward to bringing them to life.

For our sponsors (thank you, thank you, thank you) that financially supported us to get this show off the ground, for our volunteers that spent countless hours dreaming and doing, for our designers who brought their dreams to the runway, models who smiled all day, hair and make-up artists who brought designer ideas to fruition, photographers and videographers who told our story… we couldn’t have done this without YOU. And for our attendees that came out to support this show both financially and in applause….. we THANK YOU! It takes a village and we have an incredibly supportive and inspirational village.

We took some of our favorites images captured from the show. To see all the photos you can visit our facebook page.

Our 2020 show is going to be INCREDIBLE!!!! We are so excited to share as the year goes forward. If you or your business would like to be a sponsor of Couve Couture 2020, we are offering half price sponsorships if paid in full by August 1, 2019. E-mail alisa@couvecouture.com to receive sponsorship options.

We are so excited for our upcoming show!

Show Details:
Saturday April 13, 2019
This years show will be at the Historic Fort Vancouver Artillery Barracks in downtown Vancouver WA.

We have a wonderful group of six designers from right here in Washington State. Ranging in age from 14 to 67, we think you will be very proud of our local fashion creators. To add to the variety of styles, The Fort Vancouver Costume Department will be wearing a collection of pieces they have hand-sewn dating 1825-1945, down the runway.

We will be doing two shows; matinee 3:30 (doors 2:30) and evening 7:30 (doors 6:30).
Ticket Cost:
Matinee standing $15, secondary seating $25, front row seating $40
Evening standing $15, secondary seating $30, front row seating $45
Ticket Link: Tickettomato.com
Each show will allow for 380 attendees.

A portion of proceeds will be donated to our local Share of Vancouver that helps serve the hungry and homeless in our community. You can learn more about their organization. This April Share will be celebrating 40 years of service.

This is an all ages show.
We encourage dressing up for the show.

Finger food and drink available for purchase (cash bar). Must show ID if wanting alcoholic beverages.

We had to get creative with our runway which is an oval shape. The runway show will be throughout two rooms as the models walk through the panel doorways that run through the center dividing the two rooms. Here is the seating/runway map for each room.
As you go on-line to purchase tickets you will see 4 maps:
Northside matinee and Northside evening
Southside matinee and Southside evening.

You will need to decide which room you want to be in and if you want the matinee or evening show. Definitely easier to view on your computer rather than your phone.
